Thank you for your business!!!
It has become very apparent that it will be impossible for me to get the 2 week deadline idea to work at this time. There are just too many people that want to order barrels. If I try that, my orders will fill in less than one day. Perhaps in only hours......I think that this would be unfair to everyone who wants a barrel. Some people can't be on a computer in that time frame to be able to make an order..... So the 2 week turn around time frame isn't going to work at this time. Maybe I can find a way to get it to work later......I don't know.
So, I will once again try to give an accurate estimate of when your barrel will be completed but it is still only a guess based upon how I think my work load looks. I've found it is hard to predict everything that can go wrong or slow down production. So please be patient, I am still trying to learn how to gauge this more accurately. Blank availability is the main thing that slows down orders. As you know, the entire firearms industry is still being slammed pretty hard. Things are getting better, but still far from where they used to be before the gun grabbers started this latest panic.
My goal still remains the same though..........quality over quantity. Your barrel will be built as though it were for my own personal use.
Thank you for your support and thank you for your business!
There have been several people that wonder why I don't do the high end blanks and I thought I would answer this for everyone. It's not that I WON'T do the high end blanks....it's that I want to build barrels for the average guy that can't afford the high end blanks.
I will certainly build using the high end blanks if that's what you are willing to pay for.....but when I started this I wanted to do work for those of us that can not afford those barrels on a regular basis. We still wanted to play around with our rifles, but can not afford the high costs of the "super barrels". Maybe one day.......but for now a barrel better than a factory barrel was wanted.
When I started this for myself as my own hobby, I was VERY surprised at how accurate a cheaper barrel can be when it is properly setup. Using the same procedures that are used when doing high end barrel work, these barrels will usually shoot better than I can. In other words, the limit of the accuracy was me, not the barrel.
While high end barrels will have the edge on accuracy and definitely clean easier, the average guy that I build for isn't going to compete at the national level or even the state level. But we DO want a barrel that shoots better than the factory stuff does. These barrels that I build will easily do this.....and sometimes they will REALLY surprise you with how accurate they are!
The vast majority of the people buying my barrels report less than MOA accuracy. Depending on caliber of coarse...A 450 BushMaster will not compete with a 6mm Bench Rest for accuracy. They are 2 different animals built for 2 different purposes.
Quite a few have reported less than 3/4 MOA and some are getting less than 1/2 MOA on a regular basis. I use these same blanks for my own barrels on a regular basis also. Especially for all my hunting rifles and AR's. My serious target rifles do have the high end barrels on them. For SERIOUS target work.....I recommend using a high end blank.
Having said all that, I don't offer an accuracy guarantee for obvious reasons....but I DO warranty my work.
There are way too many variables for me to guarantee accuracy.
But don't think these cheaper blanks won't shoot.........they can shoot EXTREMELY well. These are button rifled, stress relieved, precision air gaged to .0002, which is comparable to many of the top of the line blanks out there. I generally use Green Mountain or ER Shaw blanks unless otherwise requested.
Hope this answers some of your questions.
PREPAYMENT IS REQUIRED before I order the blank.
All my work is fully guaranteed.
